Install Ubuntu DDR IDE

Bonsoir,
je tente d'installer actuellement linux (distirb Ubuntu 8 image dvd) sur un acer aspire M1641 sur un DDR IDE.
Impossible d'y parvenir : Boot sur lecteur DVD, IDE en master, SATA en slave (testé aussi en desable) et voici mon boot :

Ubuntu -> choix langue = français -> Logo Ubuntu (chargement) = 5 minutes environs et il me balance des :

* Mounting local file systes... [oK]
* Activating swapfile swap... [OK]
* Checking minimum space in /tmp... [OK]

etc...

et fini par un :

* Starting Hardware abstraction layer hald [OK]
* Starting bluetooth _

et... plus rien ne répond...

La même image Ubuntu installée à partir de mon XP compaq presario fonctionne parfaitement sur ce même DDR.
Je n'ai aucun péripherique bluetooth... et mon DDR est reconnu... :/
