add font in Word for Mac Solved

Hello,  I installed a font on my Mac but it doesn't show up in Word, I can't link the two folders...  Is there an update for the Word font file?  Thanks in advance.  smartjaune

Hello,

I have the same problem.

I downloaded a font and installed it by clicking the button.

When I try to put text on an image in Photoshop Elements, it finds the font, but when I want to write text in Word for Mac, it doesn't find it, even though it recognizes it in the font book.

I noticed that there are 2 font files under Mac OS placed in two different locations, don't ask me why. But if I install the font "in a wild way" (copy-paste) in both files, it works!

Hello, I'm reaching out to bring up a similar issue because when I try to install the font, it doesn't install, and it doesn't show up in the font book. However, the file appears in the fonts folder of the library. Please help me, I don't know what to do to make it work, as I really need it (I'm studying graphic arts...). Thank you in advance.

It would be good to provide a few details, such as the versions of Word and Mac OS X in question and (especially) the specific font involved. Given the information provided, it is most likely that it is a font incompatible with Mac OS X or corrupted...   -- Hello to you! Bernard

another solution: open the font book where there are several tabs go to computer click on the "+" at the bottom and look for your font. turn off the computer and restart word

I have a problem that might be similar to yours.
I installed a Texas Instrument font to be able to insert calculator key symbols into my documents. The font is recognized by the Font Book and by Word for Mac 2011 (I’m on Mavericks). However, since I don't know the keys to get a specific symbol, I want to go through symbol insertion. But the font isn't available there. How can I easily use my font?
