Hello

I just reinstalled my laptop with Windows XP Pro

and to my great surprise, some keys on my keyboard are swapped.

I reinstalled it and it's still the same

my laptop is an IBM ThinkPad T30

if anyone has a solution to my issue

Hello, by pressing the Shift key and Num Lock everything goes back to normal.

Hello,  You need to press fn + scroll lock. There should normally be a diode that will turn off.

THANK YOU ralkz THAT'S THE SOLUTION  I had a problem (keys p,o,i,u,m,l,k,j which only worked in numeric mode) that I solved by pressing: 'fn' (bottom left) and 'arr def' (top right)

I had the same problem and thanks to you, I solved it!!!
I indeed pressed the fn key (bottom left) and the 4 or 5 keys at the top right and it works!!
It was the FN key that was stuck
