Hello,
I am thinking of buying the game Crysis on PC (this game looks excellent ^^), but I saw that apparently you can only play with the Xbox 360 controller for €39.90!
I would like to know if there is a way around this and if I could play with my Thrustmaster PC controller!!!!
Thank you in advance for your response,
Lyaudin

Hi, for those who are still struggling, you need to replace the files XInput9_1_0.dll, XInput1_1.dll, XInput1_2.dll, XInput1_3.dll in system32 and you’re good to go ;).
Files available here: http://lcsteam.net/dump/gta4/XBOX.360.controller.emulation.zip -
Hi,
Playing an FPS with a controller on a PC is a real sacrilege.
An FPS is much better played with a keyboard and mouse (more keys, use of shortcuts, ...)
Especially Crysis, it would be a complete waste! -
It would be quite ironic if you had to buy a controller that probably costs an arm and a leg just to play their games.
The only Crosoft game on PC that I would have played is "Halo," and I was able to play it without any issues using my keyboard and mouse.
But it's important to know that Microsoft has nothing to do with Crysis.
Crysis is developed by the German company "Crytek," and it works with a keyboard and a mouse.
As far as I know, no PC game necessarily requires a controller (and I've played a lot of games!!) -
ok
so it's better with the keyboard, but is it possible to play with a Thrustmaster controller???
so I'm asking another question:
do all Game for Windows games require an Xbox 360 controller????

All Game for Windows games require an Xbox 360 controller????
I've never heard that!
Maybe they're compatible with it, but it's definitely not mandatory.
That would be downright outrageous! -
I don't know
let's say I've been watching several games that ask for this (thanks Microsoft! :-( )
it deserves a little Google search!! ^^
thank you Julien 84 for your info ^^

After a short search, I saw that Beijing 2008 requires the Xbox 360 controller if you want to play with a controller, the same goes for Halo 2, and I haven't looked into it further yet... ^^
Note: Beijing 2008 and Halo are Game for Windows games, just like Crysis...
"Microsoft has nothing to do with Crysis" yes, Game for Windows is just the license!

game for windows
License to crap, because all the games that run on Windows are games that....run on Windows.
It's a lame name, pure marketing nonsense made in Crosoft!
if you want to play with a controller
Yes, which clearly proves that playing with a keyboard and mouse is quite possible. -
Of course,
I'm just saying that if you want to play with a controller, apparently all the "Games for Windows" (which are just there to look good on the box and increase the price, we agree ^^) require an Xbox 360 controller!

Go to https://www.xpadder.com/ this software allows you to configure keyboard keys on all controllers.
