Hello,

My memories are pretty foggy about an old movie (from the 70s or earlier)...

A little girl goes through a well... ends up in an orchard, meets an apple tree that says "shake me shake me... My apples are too heavy for me!"... She shakes it (throughout the film, virtuous, she helps everyone!!!). In the end, she is rewarded with a spool of golden thread. Another girl (greedy), "recites" the same path only to be given a worthless spool of string with ink.....

  This is indeed the Snow Queen by the Brothers Grimm; it's a film that aired on television in the 1970s, in black and white, and I too loved it since it has stayed in the back of my mind for many years! I particularly remember the comforter that the little girl shakes and the feathers that fall like snow... so beautiful.
  This tale was reissued last year by Didier Jeunesse, illustrated by Mlle Novi, stunning!
  However, I’ve been searching high and low, and I can’t find any other editions. Does anyone have a lead?

When searching the internet, you can find several versions of this film in black and white but also in color! The problem is that it is in German without subtitles. Title: FRAU HOLLE. I also found it in English on another site, title: MOTHER HULDA or MOTHER HOLLY.
I'm waiting for a response from someone who has a copy in French, will they be willing to make one or more for interested people ...?
