Hello,

Since yesterday I've been having an issue with JavaScript.
I followed the tutorial on www.malekal.com to secure my web browser and apparently I've modified some JavaScript settings.

Anyway, I can no longer log into Hotmail. I absolutely need to check my emails; it's a matter of life or death, so please help me.
When I type in the address, the following message appears:

JavaScript required for login
Windows Live ID requires JavaScript for login. This web browser does not support JavaScript or scripts are blocked.

To determine if your browser is JavaScript compatible or to enable scripts, refer to its online help.

The same message appears with Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla Firefox 3

What should I do to fix this? It might be silly, but it's urgent! I beg you to help me.

    and repeat with:

  Seriously guys, JavaScript and Java are two totally different languages...
  Go on Windows Live Mail or another browser, it's sorted (you're not gonna die for an email xD)

  Oh well, for the system restore I also have a problem and I checked at my brother's, he has the same thing.
  
  When I go to Start, All Programs Accessories, System Tools in System Restore, it tells me there's a calendar with the date to restore the system but no restore points appear, neither the automatic ones nor the ones I created myself, otherwise it could really be an easy solution.
  
  But is it normal that when I create a restore point, I can't even see it in the list??????

it's a registry explorer you open the folders gradually the last folder has a list with iexplorer exe when you right click on it/edit. you can change the value 0 and set it to 1

It seems that you should uninstall all versions of Java that you have, then go download the latest version even if you already had it.

In the Start menu, select Settings, then Control Panel to open it. The control panel typically contains an icon representing the Java coffee cup.
Double-click on the icon to open the Java Control Panel.
In the Java Control Panel, select the Browser tab.
Make sure the box for Internet Explorer, Netscape, or Mozilla is checked.
If it is not, check it to enable JRE for your web browser.
Click the Apply button.
If you don't see the coffee cup icon in the Windows Control Panel, it means your computer does not have the latest version of Sun JRE.

Hello everyone,

I know your problem is solved but I had the same issue with Java.
I couldn't open my mailbox. I went to:

Control Panel; Programs; Default Programs; Set your default programs. And there, you have to choose Internet Explorer.

For me, everything works again like before.
