Nouveau "noyau" multiboot après mise a j

Bonjour,
Il y avait encore peu de temps, j'avais un multiboot ubuntu et vista. Dernièrement, j'ai mis à jour ubuntu, pour le faire passer à la version "Hardy Heron", et là, en redémarrant je m'aperçois que j'ai le choix entre "deux" ubuntu, en plus de mon vista. Comment cela ce fait-il ?

    ça s'édite dans le fichier /boot/grub/menu.lst

    si tu te sens pas de le faire, fais un copier/coller du contenu de ce fichier ici, je te le modifierai

    salut :)
    on peu vérifier que vista est toujours sur ton disque:
    dans le terminal tapes: 

    sudo fdisk -l


    le"l" étant un "L"minuscule

    copies/colle ici le résultat de la commande

      Vista est toujours sur le disque, c'est pas un problème, le problème c'est qu'il 3 lignes au lieu de 2, dont 2 pour ubuntu (1 pour chaque kernel) et une pour Vista

      tout ce qu'il y'a faire, c'est de virer la bonne section

    voilà, donc je t'ai laissé 1 ubuntu, 1 Vista et 1 XP
    donc tu refais du copier/coller de ce qu'il y'a dessous et c'est bon

    Ah désolé,j 'ai que ubuntu et vista, pas de XP. Je peux quand même modifier le fichier où tu dois changer quelque chose pour le XP ?

    Ah, c'est qu'une solution pour masquer le problème en fait ibtor ? C'est normal que linux fasse ça après une mise à jour du noyau ?

      Oui, c'est normal, parfois on souhaite utiliser différents noyaux, notamment pour des questions de compatibilité et/ou de développement. Pour l'utilisateur lambda, ça ne sert concrètement à rien.
      Et oui aussi, la méthode d'ibtor ne fait que "masquer" les lignes, en aucun cas cela ne désinstalle les noyaux devenus obsolètes.
