Hello, I would like to know how to configure my firewall (Norton) to allow the opening of bittorrent ports (42600).
Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

    Explore the options of your firewall, you should find a path that looks like this:
    option->rule->exception->new->
    the port: 42600
    the IP addresses: any (or all)

        In that case, change your antivirus ^^
        No, but seriously, I think you need to go into your modem and open the ports. However, I don’t know how to do it, but I know you can access your modem by typing this address in a web page: 192.168.1.1

    it's simply impossible that such an advanced software (from a commercial point of view) does not have options for opening your ports, maybe you selected a beginner version at the beginning of the installation?

    You need to open your ports through your router (by going to your internet provider's web page, logging into your account space, and opening the ports you want).

      Okay, but if it's the same connection for all computers, if I open the ports they will be open on the others too? (For example, if I open the ports on another PC other than this one via the provider's website, will my PC have those ports open or will they only be open on the PC I connected to for the manipulation?) Actually, it's not me who takes care of all this (I don't know anything about it), it's my father.
