Hello,

I recently started using BitTorrent again, and when I opened it, I see that all my old torrents that are being shared have a red arrow pointing upward and are not sharing anything. Does anyone know what the problem is, please?

Try:

* Update Bittorrent
* Update the tracker lists
* Check if the trackers have changed (I prefer this option)

To access the trackers, click on one of your torrents. In the bottom frame, go to the "Trackers" tab and check their statuses.
If their status is not "Active," then the trackers are dead, and you can remove them.
To update them, simply download the same (I mean the same) torrent you want, and when Bittorrent sees that this torrent is already present, it will ask you if you want to merge the trackers. At that point, you accept, and it's done.

I followed your advice by downloading the same torrent and confusing the trackers; a blue arrow pointing up appeared to indicate that it was okay, but after 20 seconds, it turned red again...

I just tested with other torrents, and it works!! It stays with a blue arrow :)) Thank you for your help.

If it has turned red again, wait a bit, it’s normal. It will turn blue during the next update of your trackers (updates occur at each given time interval depending on the torrent hosting).

Indeed, after the update, the torrent with the red arrow has turned blue :) Thanks again and have a good evening

Update the tracker or redownload the torrents!

Hello,

I think you must have moved the destination files of your torrents or changed the download folder, that's certainly why Bittorrent can no longer access the files and therefore cannot share them.

It has happened to me before, and in that case, there is a red cross next to the torrent. Here, all the files are in their places, and there is still a red arrow pointing up next to each torrent except 1 (1 out of 13 has a blue arrow pointing up).
However, it is in the same folder as the others, and I checked if all the torrents still existed, and they do.

I started re-downloading torrents, but how do you update the tracker? If I quit and restart it, it doesn't work :-(

right-click on it refresh the tracker.
