Hello,
I have a problem with my Roxio Creator Basic 9 program.
In fact, it indicates that it detects no drives.
I don't know what information to give you for you to help me solve this problem, so feel free to ask me and I will respond as quickly as possible!!!
Thanks in advance...

    Hello everyone
I had the same problem as you, but after some research, here is the solution on Dell's website:
    http://support.euro.dell.com/support/topics/topic.aspx/emea/shared/support/dsn/en/document?c=ch&l=en&s=gen&docid=02E0F54D657A3BE3E0401E0A551719C1&journalid=4895A710EA8A2F2DE040A68F73281E90&Query=cm94aW8=&SystemID=INSPIRONI6400/E1505&ServiceTag=&contenttype=-1&os=-1&component=-1&lang=36441~7~380491&doclang=en&toggle=false
Don't worry if the proposed solution doesn't belong to the same program, it works anyway.
    See you soon,

    Worminator

Hello, unfortunately the link provided is no longer valid. The Dell site states "The requested document is currently unavailable." Can you please help me as Roxio no longer recognizes my drives and I don't have any other burning software. Thank you in advance!!!

I found this on another forum, always try. I changed programs and everything is fine with Nero.

http://www.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich 2727415 vista min dvd drive has disappeared

You need to download this file that will modify the Windows registry.
    http://docxp.mvps.org/b1n/DisparitionCD.inf

Then you will look for it where it was downloaded and right-click on it, then run it and it should normally work, but I haven't tested it.

    Good luck.

    Hello,

I have the same problem as you, unfortunately I am in exams and I don't have the time to do research to solve the issue. But as soon as I finish, I will take the time if no one has found a solution.
I will give some additional explanations in case someone can help us in the meantime.
The DVD burner works with other programs (notably Deep Burner Pro), but when I open the program it displays "no drive detected" whereas I have no way to reinstall it since it's original and I don't have any software reinstallation CD provided.
Probably a file, update, or driver error (even though it is up to date).
Anyway, a nice little problem to solve :@

Sorry I can't help you directly

    Hello

I have the same problem. Roxio (Easy Media Creator 9) was working very well until recently. I realized the issue after the Vista update with SP1. Now it no longer detects any drives. My burner was changed recently and works with the Vista software. I uninstalled all the Roxio components and reinstalled everything using the CD provided with my computer, but it didn’t change anything.
