Hello,

I have formatted a computer several times before but that was during the days of old PCs with only one hard drive (and even only one partition!)
So I’m wondering now: how should I proceed? I have two hard drives on my PC, on the first 2 partitions including the system, and the second has only one partition.
Should I first format both data partitions (with Windows GERE) and then boot from the XP CD to erase the system partition and reinstall (and repartition)? OR can I directly FORMAT EVERYTHING, repartition and reinstall, just by booting from the XP CD?

there you go, I tried to be as clear as possible....thanks for helping!
See you soon

    Hi,

if you’re starting from scratch you opt to repartition and reinstall, just by booting from the XP CD
