First suggestion, it risks being as obvious as a truck, lol.
The water solution isn't easy, I have colleagues around me so...
On the other hand, bending the leg could possibly be done, hoping they don't have a spare cable.
But one must already be able to go under the desk to bend it :D

Cut the power cord discreetly...

but no, remove one or two pins from the "VGA" connector

then your screen will respond strangely or display a no signal message, or stay in standby until it is replaced

there you go

a pen should be enough...

or a small clip to bend it three or four times to break it..

Well unplug it and everything then, because you could get 100,000 volts!!!

but there's C4 while we're at it
if you can do it you can pull off something but it's in the MacGyver realm
you take a flathead screwdriver you remove the power button and then you break inside the system there are just simple little contacts

because removing the pins from the VGA isn't a dumb idea but some CRT screens have non-integrated VGA so they're interchangeable

No, not necessarily, you have your cable connected to your screen and therefore to your desk

lighter fluid discreetly injected into your screen's vents should do its little effect, right?
But be careful anyway :)
