A little useless but funny
On the screen where you're asked if you want the game at 50 or 60 Hz, shake the right analog stick back and forth very quickly until time runs out. Lakitu will catch a fish.

Shortcut
In the Mushroom Cup, take Daisy's Cruise. At the exit of the dining room, there is a hole to the right. Fall in and you will find yourself in a room with crates against the walls. Go to the back of the room and enter the red pipe to end up further down the race.

Mushroom Bridge:

1) Cut through the forest with a mushroom or a star.
Daisy Cruiser:
1) After the stairs, go to the narrow side of the pool.
2) Fall into the hole in the tunnel.

1) Cut through the mud with a mushroom or a star.

Ice Cream Kingdom:
1) Cut through the snow with a mushroom or a star.
Champiville:
1) Take the small pink path after the first intersection.
2) Cut through the mud with a mushroom or a star at the end of the circuit to avoid the cars.
Yoshi Circuit:
1) With a mushroom, go under the big arch.
2) With a mushroom, throw yourself into the water at the section without a barrier to land on a road.
Donkey Kong Mountain:
1) At the start, cut through the grass with a mushroom or a star.
2) After the 2 big turns, launch yourself just before the turn to find yourself in front of the bridge.
SPECIAL CUP
Wario Arena:
1) Use the boost in the middle of the 2 turns forming a circle.
Dino Dino Jungle:
1) Use the boost to the right of the wooden bridges.
2) In the cave, go right with a mushroom.
Bowser's Castle:
1) Just before the flame-throwing machine, go straight ahead by launching yourself into the lava to find yourself on the other side of the turn.
Rainbow Road:
1) Before the spiral, use the boost to quickly go right with a mushroom and fall into the hole. Lakitu will place you further on the circuit.
