What is a PCI communication controller?

Hello,

can you tell me what a simplified communication PCI controller is? After running devmgmt.msc, I find a question mark in front of this "simplified communication PCI controller." I want to update it, but it can't find the driver and asks me for a CD-ROM (but which CD-ROM?). Resources tell me that there is currently no driver....

Can you tell me what this PCI communication controller corresponds to? And what should I do to resolve this? Can I go download one?

It's a built-in modem for the old internet connection before ADSL. We don’t need it anymore. Leave it as it is; it has no impact on your system.

Thank you for your response

However, the children can no longer chat online in their network game. Is there an interference between this modem and the Freebox knowing that I formatted it a week ago?
