What is Aida32 used for?

Hello everyone,

I already posted a previous message to explain my sound problem... to summarize, in my control panel there is a yellow question mark right in front of "Pci multimedia Audio Device"… I did try reinstalling the drivers or updating them but there’s nothing to do... I have error messages like "the best driver found by Windows is already installed for this device" or "device already installed but not working properly... I’ve tried many tips on this forum, and there’s no result (by the way I’m on Windows Me and I don’t know where to find information about my sound card..)

I was advised to install Aida 32, which I did but I don’t really know what it’s for and especially how I can see if my card is working or not... it seems a bit complicated to use Aida, so I removed it...

could you tell me the usefulness of this software or program?

Thanks

AIDA 32 is a non-installable software that performs a complete checkup of the computer as well as its memory resources, very useful as software.

    Hi
For the driver of your sound card, if you have the CD for this sound card, which you didn’t name, try installing the drivers from its CD, but first uninstall or remove it from theDevice Manager. Reinstall it with its drivers if you have the CD for your sound card. Windows will probably tell you that the generic Windows driver is already present and that it is not digitally signed; force it to use the real driver for your sound card, I think it will work.
Aida is true, it’s a nice PC analysis program, but the information it provides can deter novices, in any case it doesn’t install and that reduces one software layer which moreover brings valuable information from your whole PC.

What’s wrong is the PCI Multimedia Audio Device... for example under Windows Media Player, when I want to listen to something I get this message saying “audio device has a problem the computer may not have an audio device or it may be used by another program or it may not be functioning properly” I only have a reinstall CD, nothing more.. I did the procedure you described, that is to say delete the device that isn’t working and then try to reinstall it... I’ve done everything but I keep ending up where I started... The computer does detect new hardware, namely my “PCI Multimedia” device, but when it asks to reinstall, at the end there’s still the same error message saying the best driver found by Windows is already installed I’m kinda screwed, what do you want me to do on the internet without SOUND.. not much... sniff lol thanks anyway for replying to my message see you soon
