Firefox et plugin java

Bonjour,
j'ai téléchargé le plugin java sur le site suivant
https://www.java.com/fr/download/linux_manual.jsp?locale=fr&host=www.java.com:80
mais quand j'ai voulu l'activer, comme c'est indiquer sur le site, cela n'a pas fonctionné et je ne peux maintenant plus le supprimer ni ré-installer java à partir de Adept manager il me marque CASSE(installé). Je ne peut donc repartir de zéro.
Comment puis je faire pour arranger tout ça.
