Hello,
After much research, I couldn't find out how to get my joystick to work...
I have an old Logitech Wingman Formula steering wheel (from a few years ago...^^) with a USB adapter. I'm on Vista. I plug in my wheel, and Windows doesn't recognize anything. As for the wheel, one of the two LEDs lights up (power indicator) and the other (functioning indicator) doesn't light up at all.
What should I do?!
INFORMATION:
Joystick: Logitech Wingman Formula, whose driver can be downloaded at http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/486/2976&cl=en,us
My setup: XPC Shuttle - 2 GB RAM - 320 GB HDD - nvidia GeForce 6600 GT - Intel Pentium 3.60 GHz

I have the same wheel and I tried it with a PCI sound card that has a game port. By setting the device to Wingman autodetect and adding a game controller via the control panel, I was able to get it detected by XP as "Wingman Formula Wheel (Yellow)." Both indicators are on, and I was able to configure it. All the buttons are functional, including the pedals. However, the Logitech gaming software version 4.6 (neither 5.0 nor 5.2) does not recognize it because it is connected to a game port (db15), which does not allow me to configure it in the game. I'm trying with NFS Underground. I still need to try with a USB adapter to get it detected by the gaming software.
I contacted Logitech support and that’s what they advised me to try… So I’m asking the same question: does anyone have a USB adapter to suggest?
If anyone has managed to get it working with a game port in a game, please let me know which game it is!!!
Thank you in advance!-
Good evening,
yes, it is indeed meant to work on game port normally!! And for my part, it worked with ALL driving games, even other games (I used it for fun in an FPS (left-right = steering wheel / stick to move forward, and the buttons for functions :-]
However, I have a db15/usb adapter, but it has never worked, as if the power supplied by the usb was not sufficient???
But since I changed my graphics card (Ati Radeon 4670 HD), it's impossible to CALIBRATE it, so it is detected in the games (GTR2, SCAR, etc...) but of course it goes haywire!!!
If anyone has an idea, I’m all ears!!

The left indicator light also comes on for me, but not the right one. I've tried several drivers, and nothing works. If someone could help us. (Just so you know, I'm on Windows XP.)

It's not worth looking for more than that... We can't get this steering wheel to work without game port on the PC...
It's a shame, because I just went to Montgallet: well, the cheapest steering wheel (with feedback) is €70... -

Hello, he bought a sound card with a game port DB15 (e.g., Genius Soundmaker Value 5.1) and then needs to disconnect his integrated sound card in the BIOS. Normally, everything should work; otherwise, the DB15 USB adapter must be active. Check the Conrad website, but nothing is certain with this system.
