Pokemon Diamond - break the rocks Solved/Closed

Question

Hello,
My 6-year-old son, who can't really read yet, is stuck on Pokémon Diamond. There are rocks blocking the path and it says: a Pokémon can break the rocks. He thought he found that Geodude could do it, but he can't select it… can't bring it into play. I don't understand it either, but I want to help him and I'm turning to you... I think it must be early in the game...

You are lucky (resisting the urge to add grandma (reference to a song)) today you are dealing with a Pokémon Diamond master.

To break the rocks follow these steps:
Go to Oreburgh and beat Roark, the gym leader after finding him in the Oreburgh mines (to the north of Oreburgh).
Get HM 01: Rock Smash (I don't remember its location, search well in the town and in the mines)
Teach it to a Pokémon that can learn it (e.g., Geodude, Chimchar, Bidoof)
Go in front of a rock: the message will appear "This rock looks like it can be smashed, would you like to use Rock Smash?" and answer Yes.
and BOOM there you go!!!

Puis, allez près de la pierre, appuyez sur A et normalement le Pokémon qui a appris l'attaque doit casser la pierre (moi je l'ai en anglais donc je ne connais pas le nom des attaques en français...)

Your son needs to have the Rock Smash ability, and when he stands in front of a rock and presses A, it should work on its own. But to find it, you need to go to Charbourg, and a gentleman will give it to you. Once the gentleman has given it to you, you need to go into your bag, go to the TM section, and click on Rock Smash. Normally, it should tell you which Pokémon to teach Rock Smash to (a Geodude would work).
