There is no "most powerful" hero in DotA; each hero has a counter against which they can't do anything...
In DotA, the only truly overpowered thing is teamplay!

The most powerful hero, I think, is URSA WARRIOR. He's the only hero I run away from every time I see him; I only stop to throw him a stun or a slow. But I bolt right away. If there are no stunners on the opposing team, he's almost invincible. He's the perfect farmer for mages and agility heroes >_<.

    LOL

Personally, it's with Slayer that I'm imba ^^

The hero is powerful if you play it well ^^ there's no secret

Otherwise, in 6.49b, I find Balanar to be overpowered.

If you want to see who the most powerful hero is, I recommend checking out http://www.dota-allstars-game.com. There is plenty of information about all the heroes in the game.

Dude, I'm really pro at Dota. I've been playing since 6.18...

It's true that team play is everything... but some heroes are crazy if you leave them alone for too long.

The most imba: 1- MEEPO (Leo or Balanar are really not strong)
2- CLOCKWERK (new hero in 6.43b)

Very strong when played well: NAGA thanks to the illusions and her ultimate.

Then you still have big damage dealers like Mortred or Nevermore. But if the opponents have good intelligence heroes, you'll get easily pawned. There are always guys who will say that Bloodseeker is imba or others, but it depends on the heroes you're up against and how you play them.

Really, MEEPO is by far the craziest regardless of the heroes on the opposing team (if he has Mechanism and Cuirass, you can do almost nothing, unless you nuke him with 5 heroes)

But my god, like you're "rly pro" already a rly pro doesn't play in public... also in my opinion the most POWERFUL (because that's how it's spelled) is Lone Druid - Syllabear (at lvl 25 and unlimited gold of course (= ) because it's like you have 2 heroes (Syllabear + his invoke) in terms of items:

      - on Syllabear: Power Treads, Butterfly, S&Y, Monkey King Bar, 2 Cranium Basher
      - on the invoke: Power Treads, 4 Hyperstone and 1 Assault Cuirass there you go

So with the 2 "heroes" hitting you end up with perma roots/perma bash there you go

Your question is simply pointless.. There are just heroes that are easier to play than others, but by no means are there more powerful heroes to play..

I started before all of you, I think... The first map I played was 3.30 Dota Rumble, so... the pro is me, I think (Bnet username: Saint_lol).

Hey stalker, your question seriously is innocent.

There are no better heroes, it's just the hero that you are the most skilled with...

but shut your mouths, you are all useless...

The most imba hero, what does it mean? in late game? With full items? In 1v1?

In that case, you don't have many:

    PL
    Siren
    Chaos Knight
    Maybe Meepo
    Terrorblade
    DP
    Necrolyte
    Obsidian
    Sven
    Naix

For my part, I manage to finish first in the late game with Barathrum. His bash is incredibly annoying, his charge is simply astounding as it allows you to charge someone from the other side of the map and they won't be able to escape (unless they're in base ^^).

The ulti simply finishes the bash, + bash + bash if you're lucky, which will still take away a huge amount of the opponent's health.

    Good luck!

Well, my pig, the Dota players...
If there are so many versions, it's for it to be balanced, right?
If there were only one hero stronger than the others, what would be the point of playing?
There are simpler heroes to start with, that's for sure, but otherwise, you have to play a lot to really understand a hero.
And otherwise, I agree: the only interest of a war game is when it becomes a strategy game! So here it's a team game. If you want to win, make combos with the other heroes. That's all.

    Have fun, everyone

hm hm Dota is a bit like Pokémon; you can't say who is stronger between Squirtle, Charmander, and Bulbasaur, it depends on the player. But you have to admit that there are some classes that are a bit overpowered compared to others, like those belonging to the damage dealer category or the hero hunters. ^^
