Half open tcp limitation

Windows XP Service Pack 2 (available here) includes an array of new security “enhancements”. One of these so called enhancements limits the number of simultaneous incomplete outbound TCP connection attempts (’half-open connections’) per second to 10. This is supposed to slow down certain viruses because their spreading strategy is to try to connect to a high amount of random IP numbers. While this limit will slow down viruses, it will also slow P2P (peer-to-peer) applications that establish lots of connections over a short period of time. BitComet is one such application.

change it to 50 to solve the problem

J'ai le meme soucis que hitomisan, mais lorsque je change la valeur en 50, je redemarre windows et la valeur 10 revient a nouveau ...

tu dois copier ton fichier tcpip.sys (sauvegarder une copie) après tu changes la valeur manuellement et redémarre windows avec le nouvelle valeur

faut pas changer la valeur avec bitcomet mais avec xp antispy sinon ça niras pas les friends. Avec xp antispy zero soucis tu peu les metre a 50,100,200,500 ou illimité mais 100 c'est nettement suffisant et ça evite les probleme d'engorgement de la ligne voili voilou
