Messenger pin code?

Hello,

Is this new? Messenger is asking me to enter my PIN code (otherwise, part of the conversations... etc... etc...)
Everything was working fine until today. But where is "my" PIN code? I don't remember having to enter or compose that on Facebook or Messenger which have been working for quite some time...
Can I find it somewhere?

How to reset the Messenger PIN for encrypted conversations

However, if you have forgotten your PIN, it is possible to reset it.

Steps to reset your Messenger PIN

  • Open the Messenger mobile app
  • Tap on the three horizontal lines in the top left corner
  • Press the gear icon at the top
  • Go to the tab: Privacy and Security
  • Select the option: End-to-End Encrypted Conversations
  • Choose the option: Secure Storage
  • Tap on: Reset PIN Code
  • After tapping on: Reset PIN Code, you need to enter a new 6-digit code, and you’re good to go!
