How to increase the taskbar size

    Hello,

    Windows 11 has blocked the taskbar, rumors say a future version would bring it back, but oh well...

    If the screen is large enough, you can increase the size of everything (including desktop icons) in Settings-System Display by increasing the scale and lowering the resolution.

    Global sizing is also incorporated into a number of utilities (Windhawk, Start 11...).

    Taskbar11 would not be graphically targeted except for this parameter; I haven’t tested

    Otherwise see here, methods 2 to 4, indirectly by increasing the icon size.

    You can try ExplorerPatcher, a free utility that lets you adjust the taskbar height, in addition to managing its position and icon grouping — an alternative to Start11 (paid) and Windhawk.

      Explorer Patcher, which I deliberately did not mention, crashes Windows 11 when set to Windows 10 appearance mode (otherwise it is useless) since the latest updates a few months ago.


      From experience, Taskbar 11 also crashes but only by not functioning except for a pre-established toolbar it installs on the desktop, whose usefulness is not apparent.


      For my part, I replaced it with True Launch Bar, which does not use the taskbar but creates one specifically above it, to which you can assign the same features (enlarge).

        Corrective fix. There is on the official GitHub Explorer Patcher site only 70.3 that crashes. By looking carefully, there is an "experimental" version 70.4 that works, so it is imperative not to install any other version. Result of the matter, with True Launch Bar on top and the customized taskbar Explorer Patch (which, to be precise, we did not enlarge; we just adjusted Icon Size plus scale and screen resolution).
