Hello,

I have a Thunderbird account, but I don’t remember the login credentials. How can I delete it and create another one?

Thanks in advance

    Hello,

Thunderbird is only used to read emails, so it connects directly to the mail providers you use. It is with them that you must perform the password reset procedure (and remember to update Thunderbird with the new password).

      Thank you for your response,

I mainly use Gmail. So, if I understand correctly, is the Gmail password the same as Thunderbird's ???

      Best regards

What I mean is that Thunderbird is just a conduit. At the end of it sits Gmail, and the interactions you have in Thunderbird happen on Gmail's servers.

As for you, go to mail.google.com to reset your password. Once that's done, you will be able to tell Thunderbird that you are signing into your mailbox with your new credentials. In this way, Thunderbird will be able to reconnect to your Gmail account.
