    Hello there,

We may as well remind here that on this forum, minimal basic polite formulas such as “Hello" (at least) - "Please" - "Thank you in advance" - "Best regards" and any other variants on the same theme are greatly appreciated.

And this, for at least one good reason in addition to universal civility: the people who respond here are volunteers to whom we come asking for a free service.

    Thank you in advance.
And in the meantime, enjoy continuing here.

    Hello,

A long black screen before the login screen can be caused by a graphics driver, a slow hard drive/SSD, startup programs, or damaged system files. Start by disabling unnecessary startup applications (Task Manager > Startup), update Windows and graphics drivers, then run the commands sfc /scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth.

If the problem is recent, also try a system restore point. If you suspect an issue with the system drive, back up your important data with a reliable data recovery software before performing more significant repairs.
