Unable to open Ciel accounting program

Hello,

I can no longer open my Ciel Compta program. I'm on a computer that still has Windows 10, so nothing has changed. However, I believe I accidentally deleted part of WK.exe while cleaning up the disk.

I say part because I can still see it when I explore the file.

I thought it was the social network... Anyway, that might be the reason. And since we never make just one mistake, I emptied the recycle bin.

Is there a way to recover this program?

Thank you for your advice.

    Hello,

If it's an old local version of the software, try restoring Windows to an earlier date; if that's not possible, it's dead, Sage no longer supports these versions, we might be able to reinstall it if we have the installation media, but we can't reactivate it.

If it's a new online version, we should be able to reinstall and reactivate it, even if we have to ask Sage support and after making a backup copy of the folder in case the reinstallation overwrites the data.

    Hello,

Thank you for your reply. Yes, it's an old version. I tried to reinstall Windows but I got the message: impossible because there has been an update ...

Anyway, I'm pretty stuck. I'm going to buy another software to install on a newer computer, but what bothers me is having to re-enter 9 months of accounting.????

By the way, I'm looking for a program that is not connected to the cloud like their new software.

    Thanks anyway

Have a good end of the weekend

      Hello,

We must still be able to retrieve the data file and export it, at least in the same brand, even if the program is not open?

Re-entering the accounts is a nightmare depending on the industry and the number of daily operations that may be involved.

As far as I know, there isn't one now that isn't in the Cloud and subscription-based...
