Windows 25H2 Issues

Hello,
Following the latest Windows update to version 25H2 instead of version 24H2 (yesterday 10/18/2025), SOLIDWORKS is only working slowly.
After all the antivirus and other analyses, I installed the repair version, but that doesn't change anything and worse, it deleted my restore points.
Having no other solution, this morning I wanted to revert to the previous version 24H2, but it was the 25H2 version that was reinstalled again (probably due to the use of the repair version?).
Question: how can I revert to the previous version 24H2?
Thank you for your help.

Hello,
To downgrade from Windows 11 25H2 to 24H2, go to settings, then follow the steps via Windows Update by clicking on "Go back to the previous version." This process keeps your files and settings.
Hello,
25H2 is not required to make fundamental changes to 24H2, but somewhere we might be testing the waters.
In this context, there is probably no solution if through Windows settings we cannot roll back other than to back up data and then format and reinstall programs after using a 24H2 installation key.
But even if we haven't gone looking for the enemy by deliberately seeking 25H2, there will come a time when it will invade Windows Update, which would lead to at least blocking that update via WUMT or equivalent, if not blocking automatic updates altogether.
It is also not guaranteed that during a major update all somewhat old software or hardware will remain fully compatible except for their own updates which, in the case we are interested in, may carry a significant cost. However, given the presence of a license that does not always exist for this software, I suppose that at its price the publisher should be able to provide support for a situation that is going to become common.
Hello Panth33,
Yes, I'm aware of that, but as I initially attempted to perform a repair via Windows update 25H2, I first got the repair version 25H2, but as the problem persisted, when I tried to revert to the previous version, I ended up with the normal version 25H2, not the version 24H2.
And if I go through the procedure several times, it switches from the normal version 25H2 to the repair version 25H2, then back to the normal version 25H2, it's kind of looping!!! but I would like to go back to version 24H2.
Is that possible???
