Hello,
I want to put the complete and free Windows 11 Home program on a 256GB USB drive. In case of a major issue with Windows 11, this would allow me to reinstall it. How should I do this? Is it possible?
Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Thank you. The complete novice without pretensions!

Hello,
"I had to use another USB key because the program (Windows 11 image) is 5.4 GB"
You can use a USB drive from 8GB to 2TB or maybe more.
Practically, I have Ventoy keys (one in MBR, one in GPT without Secure Boot Support, and one in GPT with Secure Boot Support) on which I can store ISOs and boot from them, such as the ISO of Windows 10 22H2 and Windows 11 24H2, as well as others like the Live CD Malekal, and Hiren's Boot CD PE, for troubleshooting.

Windows ISOs can be downloaded from the Microsoft website, (by searching on Google, e.g.: Windows 11 ISO), using F12 > Device Emulation from Edge if you want the complete ISO (WIM), or with the MediaCreation Tool (For another PC) (for the more compressed ESD ISO with fewer versions), or with the direct link.
Hello,
How to create a bootable USB drive for Windows 11
Microsoft has made the installation or reinstallation of Windows so easy that even a child could do it. Whether you are installing Windows 11 on a new computer you just built or you want to enjoy the feeling of a fresh install again, here’s what you need to do to install Windows 11 on your computer.

Boot to Windows 10, Windows 11 troubleshooting options (advanced startup)
Force automatic repair
When Windows fails to boot correctly two times in a row, it enters repair mode.
This method allows you to access the advanced options.
So, when starting Windows, turn off the PC.
Repeat the operation a second time.
Windows will enter automatic repair.
(Starting from the powered off PC.
Turn on your computer and within the first seconds of booting, press and hold the power button (before the Windows logo appears…) until it completely shuts down*.
Then, restart Windows by forcing it (as described just above…*) a second time, then normally on the third startup, it should boot to the recovery options).

Create a system image with Windows [11, 10, 8, 7]
On Windows, creating a system image involves taking a snapshot of your computer and saving that snapshot in a "disk image." What is it for? To restore your computer to its exact state without the hassle of reinstalling Windows, drivers, and all the software, which can take several hours or even several days.
