Hello,

I downloaded Graphic Works from DATA BECKER by paying $5 to Graphic Works 10 - Flux Digital GmbH (Data Becker) on my Windows 10 computer and it works very well.

I now have a new computer with Windows 11, but I cannot reinstall Graphic Works 10 on this new computer. I have the activation code, but it doesn't work. Upon closer inspection, I realized that the program and its activation only work on my old computer and not on the new one due to account reasons or other tricks. So I would need to pay another $5 to download this program on my new computer, I tried but now they are asking for information that I don't have and creating a new account is not recommended.

Do you know a way to bypass this installation block?

Hello,

This type of problem often occurs with older software that uses a computer- or operating system-linked activation method. Unfortunately, many of the software sold back in the day by Data Becker or its partners are no longer supported or updated, and their activation system does not always recognize new systems like Windows 11.

The fact that activation only works on your old PC is likely related to hardware verification or a system identifier that has changed. Even if you have your code, the activation server or validation method may refuse installation on a new device.

You can try manually copying the program folder from your old PC to the new one and see if the software starts without requesting a new activation. Sometimes it works, especially if the software doesn't rely on a complex installer. You also need to copy the configuration or registration files if they exist, often found in the "ProgramData" or "AppData" folder.

Another option would be to use a cloning tool like Macrium Reflect or EaseUS Todo Backup to transfer the complete environment from the old PC to the new one (but that's more technical).

Hello,

Some software does not work from one version of Windows to the next.

It is sometimes possible to install them and run them in compatibility mode.

To my knowledge, DataBecker stopped its activities about twenty years ago. Therefore, I doubt they offer a version for Windows 11.

The only way to "get around this blockage" without violating the publisher's rights is to install a version 10, which, if only used for this software, is not very practical.

Read the software's terms of use, which prohibit any modification or alteration of the code.

Thank you Jula-iris. But I believe it's hopeless.

I've tried just about everything but nothing works.

The unlock code is indicated as: Hardware-ID

Maybe a clue?

What do you think?
