Hello. Does the email address ending with holmail.fr exist? Due to a typing error, the message has been sent.

If only! But it was sent last night and I haven't received any return saying it wasn't delivered. In principle, it's after a few minutes after sending, right?

There cannot be a "mailer daemon" for the recipient if, as is more than likely, they do not exist.

The possible response can then only come from your own mail server; one can imagine that it simply chose not to forward it. You should be able to find details in the mail software where it might have remained in the outbox or if it was sent by reading its "source".

I just received confirmation that holmail.fr exists. He replied saying that I had made a mistake.

Thank you nonetheless for your responses.

I was thinking that the simultaneous existence of this domain and the address being used was highly unlikely.

Everything comes to those who wait...

Hello,

We cannot rule out, though it's unlikely, that someone has created a domain that they have named as they wish, why not holmail, but it would also require that the recipient's email address exists there, a lot of ifs.

The email will bounce back undelivered.
