Online ratings and reviews have become crucial for the reputation of businesses. However, reference sites like Trustpilot raise doubts about their reliability. Indeed, Trustpilot is suspected of favoring companies that subscribe to its review collection service, creating an inequality between those that pay and those that do not. Furthermore, the publication of fake reviews seems to be a common practice on the Internet, reinforcing doubts about the authenticity of online evaluations. What do you think of these practices, and how could we regulate them to ensure fairness and reliability of online reviews?

    Hello,

I recently left a review on Trustpilot regarding the company Ringover, which wanted to buy my reviews (4 reviews for a total of €60, on 4 different platforms).

I refused because it's immoral, but I think some people accept to be bought. So, reviews can be purchased, I have proof of that! What's troubling is that Ringover responded to me in a bland and blandishing manner, as is the case everywhere, unfortunately.

Trustpilot indicated that if I didn't provide my contact details to Ringover, my review would soon be deleted. That was a bluff, as I did nothing, and my review ultimately remained.

This says a lot about the connections between Trustpilot and its paying clients, where it shows that the slope is slippery and honesty is questionable. This is not reported in the media, and frankly, I think "certified" reviews can be called into question. Business is business clearly aligns with immorality.

    THANK YOU  ... !!!
I am relieved because my EXPERIENCE reviews on TrustPilot show that they are not reliable as they remove negative reviews, especially those from their paid subscribed members.
