Hello,

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure where to ask this question.
I would like to scan an A1-sized document using an iOS smartphone or tablet. Which software should I use that produces JPEGs, preferably of good quality, but also in A4 format for better clarity?

Thank you for your help.

Have a great day.

    Hello,

This way of proceeding is quite a "patchwork" ... the A1 scan with a smartphone can only be done in multiple parts... then you have to stick them together with sync markers... it's a nightmare; can we talk about quality..? and all that, without knowing the definition of the device used..??

It would be wiser to have this scan done by a professional, equipped with a real A1 or A3 scanner in multiple parts with markers.

Or at least on an A4 scanner ... on a printer, to have marked pieces that allow for a methodical reconstruction...

Not to mention the screen that will be able to display this document..??

    Hello

For scanning, I personally use the built-in function of the camera. I get a jpg file.

If you don't have a scanner function installed, you can try this app:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.indymobileapp.document.scanner

Apparently it's free. The document can be output as a pdf, in the format that suits you.
    That's what you want.

The resolution isn't bad. But you inevitably encounter the drawbacks of using a smartphone: significant distortions, especially if you're close to the original document. The app partially allows you to correct them.
With a document in A1 format, it won't be easy.

I personally would use a tripod with a mount for the smartphone and place the document vertically against a wall.
This would allow you to frame it better and minimize distortions.

What is well conceived is clearly expressed,
And the words to say it come easily.
