is my Doro 6820 compatible to use RCS as a replacement for SMS?

Hello,

No, it is not compatible with RCS cats. This feature is only available on Android smartphones.

That being said, your Doro, in my opinion, being not Android, should be incompatible

Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it's not there...

The manual does not mention RCS at all.

The product page neither.

Nothing comes up on Google regarding this, even when searching for its system.

I would be tempted to say it’s SMS and not RCS.

Bonus:

However, reading this thread (the only one), it would be the nominal case.

Be careful, the helper who mentions SMS/RCS settings adds "like any other Android" which is not the case for a Doro ;-)

The OP specifies having contacted the brand which replied "do a factory reset and it will be better", unsure of its relevance.

The OP's problem could be explained by another cause than "SMS are actually RCS, that’s why it only works on 4G,” regarding you this does not make your SMS RCS.
