Right click: Send to: Gmail

Hello,

I would like to enrich my "Send to" menu (which appears when I right-click on a file) with a command line that allows me to directly access Gmail in order to send this file to a recipient via an email address.

I went to C:\Users\celine\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo

In the window that opened, I created a shortcut and typed "https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox?compose=new" in "Type the location of the item" before naming this shortcut.

When I test this shortcut in the "send to" window, it works perfectly fine.

I restarted my computer, and then I wanted to check if the function was operational. Unfortunately, when I right-click on a file, the send to menu appears but the Gmail shortcut does not show up "even though it is still present in the "Send to" folder...

Could you please indicate where my mistake is?

Thank you in advance :)

Hello,

I'm not sure in a formal way, but the context menu points to an exe (in the practical mail software), which is not the case with Gmail, which is a webmail.

We should not formally be able to open Gmail for a new message either, but only to connect to the webmail to one's account as here.
