Good evening,

The limit is 5,000 friends for an individual with a standard Facebook account.

You or the person you wish to invite have reached the friend limit.

You can add up to 5,000 friends on Facebook. To connect with a new person, you can take the following actions:

Activate professional mode to connect with more than 5,000 friends on Facebook.
Remove a person from your friends, then send an invitation to another person.
Follow the person if they have allowed this feature, instead of sending them an invitation. You will still be able to view their public posts.

Note: you cannot accept an invitation from someone who already has 5,000 friends.
