Hello,

I bought a Gigabyte GA A320M S2H motherboard version Rev 1.1, I connected all the components as well as the keyboard and mouse, but when I turn it on nothing shows up on the screen, I unplugged and replugged my graphics card but still nothing, the keyboard and mouse do not light up and when I try to turn off the computer it simply won't shut down, I even unplugged the hard drives but that still does nothing and I tried to reset the BIOS with the Clear CMOS jumper but that didn't do anything at all.

I really need help please.

    Hello,

What have you plugged in (brands and models) for the CPU, RAM, GPU?

    Hello,

An external monitor on the VGA port should work... by removing your graphics card.. at least display the BIOS.

What processor have you installed on it?

      I installed a RYZEN 5 3500X, 16 GB of G.Skill RAM, and an Inno 3D RTX 2070 Super.

But I don't think the processor I have has a Radeon graphics chip, I'm not sure, I connected it several times either via VGA or HDMI to the motherboard but nothing shows up, I did the same through the GPU.

You don't know if his CPU has an IGP or not.

I checked and no, he doesn't have any.

But even with the C.G it's not improving anything, there are still the problems I've just mentioned.

It's obvious that a Ryen5 3500X doesn't have an IGP. The CPUs of the same generation that have an IGP have a designation that ends with a G. It has a dedicated GPU, an RTX2070 Super, and he should let us know what power supply he has to determine if it has enough power to support it.

I had already used the RTX before on another motherboard and it worked perfectly.

And normally the Ryzen has enough power because I had an i7 2600k that needs 95W while the Ryzen only needs 65W and I'm using the same power supply.

Apparently, this GPU needs to be powered by a PCIe 8 pin + a PCIe 6 pin with a minimum power supply of 650W: what wattage is your power supply? Have you connected a PCIe 8 pin + a PCIe 6 pin cable?

    Hello

starting from BIOS F40 the R5 3500X on the motherboard.

LDLC indicates a power consumption of 215w for the Inno3D RTX 2070 Super.

You have properly connected all the additional power connectors to the graphics card.

Yes, I connected everything and yes, I connected the 8-pin PCIe cable and the 6-pin PCIe cable.

Sorry, I accidentally put "super" in "rtx 2070 super", it's actually the "Inno3D GeForce RTX 2070 Twin X2", my apologies.

      Hello

The twin x2 is not great, LDLC indicates a consumption of only 175 W, but it has only one 8-pin PCIe connector.

Both are twin x2, so if you connect 2 connectors, one 8-pin and one 6-pin, that’s what’s great.

But that shouldn't change much. It's plugged in, it should work.

So why isn't it turning off? You'll need to refer to the wiring diagram of the case going to the motherboard in the manual, especially the power button.

Check if this is the correct manual, the front panel is on page 16; the 2 connectors ATX 24 pins and ATX 12V 8 pins must be plugged in as stated on page 13.

    Hello,

do you have a speaker on your motherboard? If so, are there any beeps? If not, try to get one. It looks like this:

post some pictures of the inside of your PC if you can.

the power supply, as long as it has the right number of pins to power the graphics card, is sufficient, at least for startup.

do you have the option to test with another graphics card?

No, I don't have a speaker, I'm going to buy one, I don't have any other GPU to test, and yes the power supply is sufficient to start the GPU.

    Hello,

I'm still astonished... one must work methodically starting from the bare minimum... Seeking to achieve the final goal without going through the intermediate steps is very optimistic, of course, but with problems like here, the step-by-step progression would be wiser...

We don't even know if the processor is working..??

Therefore, I suggest verifying this by setting up the minimum.

    +++ Minimum startup of a PC +++

The motherboard is equipped with a BIOS... you received a manual with the motherboard... It explains how to access the BIOS (Usually, it's the Delete key immediately upon powering on and before the end of the logo) you need to act quickly...

For now, I'm not talking about Windows... the goal is to get the PC running, not Windows, that will come later.

So if accessing the BIOS yields nothing, you need to disconnect everything from your setup... leaving only the motherboard (with its processor and one RAM stick) connected to its power supply and the power button on the case.. And the wired keyboard, that's all...
No graphics card, no hard drive or SSD, no CD/DVD drive, no monitor.
Turn on the PC while carefully watching the keyboard lights... They should briefly light up, even all three then one ... and then you play with the Num Lock and/or Caps Lock keys... the lights should change state with each key press...

If that's not the case, you need to dismantle everything and go through each component's correct connection step by step... be careful with the fans... the 4 or 8-pin connector above the CPU PWR_CPU...

    Hello

The 3500x does not work with a BIOS version lower than F40, the question was raised by Bell.

The PWR_CPU is mandatory, if it's not connected it won't start, question raised by Jeannets.

(This is to mark the discussion, but these two points seem to be the most aligned with the symptoms)

I'm going to buy a speaker to see if it's a connection problem. If I put the PC back together and it still doesn't work, I'll see if I can buy a compatible microprocessor with the motherboard to test it.

I really wonder if it's not because of the BIOS all this

What is the origin of the motherboard? New? Used?

Yeah............well don't look for it, either it's non-functional or it has a BIOS version that doesn't support the 3500x, it's not a native CPU for the A320 chipset. You should ask the seller for the BIOS version.

Moreover, a second-hand motherboard is a tricky purchase.....
