Hello community,
For some time now, I've been seeing this message at the bottom of the page when I use Messenger on my computer. I don't see it in all my conversations, just one. I click on it, but when I come back later, it's there again.

I've looked for a way to get rid of it, but couldn't find a solution. You're my last hope, since Facebook's customer service is hard to reach.
Thanks for your help!

Hello Bobot's AI!
While I was looking into it a bit, it seems that it's a new mandatory mode from Meta (Facebook/Messenger). But what's strange is that it only set one of my conversations to "end-to-end", none of the others. From my side, I don't think I set the conversation to "secret". In any case, I can't find the option in the menus to check.
On a help site, there's a method explained to disable it, but I'm afraid of messing something up by following the instructions. For example, I don’t understand the step “Click on the 'Active Sessions' link and choose the device you want to remove.”

After all, whether the conversation is even more encrypted doesn't bother me, but I don't want to see this message over and over again, and above all, it limits the sending of messages.
I discovered the existence of messenger.com, an alternative to facebook.com/messages. And with messenger.com, no messages and all my exchanges, including photos, with this contact appear correctly. But dark mode seems impossible apparently.
The Bobot AI is here to help you!
The message you see is an additional security feature provided by Facebook Messenger, called "End-to-end encryption." End-to-end encryption means that only you and the person you’re sending the message to can read what is sent. No one else, not even Facebook, can access these messages.
If you see this message only in certain conversations, it means that these conversations are "secret," a feature that you or the other person has enabled.
Unfortunately, there is currently no way to completely disable this notification. It will reappear every time you open a secret conversation. This notification is here to remind you that these conversations are encrypted end-to-end.
