Yahoo Issue: verification code not being sent
PrinceOfUrDream Posted messages 4 Status Membre -
Hello, I have a pretty big problem with my Yahoo accounts, especially the main one.
I recently changed my password (around January 5) and logged out of all my devices because I suspected an unauthorized login, but I forgot that password. I've been trying to change the password for almost a week now, and the phone verification won't work; it just doesn’t send. I've tried sending from iOS and from my computer throughout the week until I hit the limit, but every time I get no notification, knowing that it's the correct number and that I have no issues with my SMS inbox. I even tried using my Gmail accounts, which work fine. The problem is that I really need this email address, as it's the one I've used for all my internship applications and all my most important accounts.
I wanted to know how the problem could be fixed or if there’s anything else we could do...

Ok, sorry, it's just that I had explained everything and when I went to post, it got erased! So I'm too lazy to rewrite, especially if nobody is reading me (but I see that's not the case!). For my part, I find that this response from MPMP10 is not very nice:
"You need to check the help provided on the support page of the site in question, and for your information, there are no other solutions.
How do you expect us to help you here on a forum if yahoo.com does not send you the confirmation code!?"
So here's how I got around this problem: I bypassed the issue by creating a Yahoo mail account with a Gmail address (logging in through Google) and then I added my yahoo.fr email, and this time I received the code by SMS. So now I have a Yahoo account that I log into with my Gmail address and password, and I have access to both my Yahoo mails and my Gmail ones.
If you don't have a Google account, just create one.
If I wasn't clear, feel free to ask me for more details. It's not always easy in writing...
Good evening,
Recurring question here on CCM!
https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/s/Yahoo
or if we could do something else...
You need to check with the help provided on the support of the concerned site and for your information, there are no other solutions available.
How do you expect us to be able to help you here on a forum if yahoo.com isn't sending you the verification code!?
We do not have any recovery codes here on CCM for other third-party sites available on the web.

Hello,
I have the same issue and it is probably a global failure.

Hello Audy,
I suggest you try connecting to Yahoo Mail through Google (if you don't have a Google account, you'll need to create one). This allows you to bypass the SMS verification issue from Yahoo. Then, you should be able to see your Yahoo mails normally. I did this a month ago, so I've forgotten some of the details, please excuse me. However, you can reread my post from 02/27 (the second part!). Good luck
Best regards
Still no polite formulas?
I got around the problem by creating a Yahoo mail account
The creation of the new account went well through the yahoo.com site, and what did I mention in my response?
<<You need to check that with the help offered on the support on the site in question and for your information, there are no other solutions.>>
And as for being friendly, I don't take advice from someone who can't even say hello when addressing others.
Have a nice day.
Hello MPMP10
You are really not nice
Best regards.
Goodbye
The purpose of this support forum is to provide solutions, when they exist, which everyone has the right to propose. Friendliness is obviously a plus.
Responses are provided in writing because we are not the customer service of the publishers or suppliers.
Considering the unanswered queries and the contempt exhibited by social networks and other publicly traded sites worth billions of dollars, the support provided by volunteers cannot replace their incompetence nor provide a valid connection to secure sites accessible only to their subscribers.
For your response, it should be hoped that it proves useful and applicable to the requester, which sometimes happens, but this should not exempt them from sending a code, provided that the requester has been verified as the authentic account owner.
Hello, I have been in the same problem for a while.
Can you give me more details? Thank you in advance.
Thank you for your response. What we would like more clarity on is the part where we add the yahoo.fr email to be retrieved (the one that is blocked). How do we add the yahoo email to the recently created account? Thank you in advance.
