Hello,

My TI 82 displays a completely white screen when I turn it on. I changed the batteries, charged it from the top with a suitable cable… nothing works.

It’s almost new… I have the impression that there is a round space above the batteries… for another battery?? Strange…

Hello,

Have you read this tutorial?

It is specified that in addition to 4 AA batteries, you need a CR2032 button cell (bookstores, supermarkets)

Hello,

You need to install the backup button battery.

However, the absence of this battery does not prevent the calculator from functioning.

After inserting the 4 AAA batteries, press the ON button to turn on the calculator.
Adjust the screen brightness: press the 2nd key and then hold down the up arrow key on the directional pad to increase the contrast.

Normally, the display should appear. Then adjust the contrast to your liking.
