Connect my Surface Pro to the TV - USB - HDMI cable

Hello,

I would like to connect my Surface Pro 7 to my TV to transfer the display and sound from the computer to it... Knowing that there is no HDMI port on the Surface.

I tried using the wireless system, through Windows. It works, but the image quality is very poor... I think a wired connection would be better, arriving in HDMI on the TV.

I saw that there are USB-C to HDMI adapters that cost around 15 euros, available on shopping sites. Would that work? Do we get good quality, equivalent to a normal HDMI connection?

    First of all, I wish you a Happy New Year 2024 :)

    You will have quality comparable to a direct HDMI connection. Most USB-C to HDMI adapters support resolutions up to 4K and transmit both image and sound.

    Indeed, it is quite expensive, but you are getting a reputable brand, and you can be sure it will last over time; you can already see the quality with the reviews. There are also vertical hubs available if you want more USB, HDMI ports, etc...

    Well, that's fine then. I'll take a look at that. However, the adapter you found is not for HDMI, but for DisplayPort...

      Oh dear, I'm really sorry, I don't know how I didn't pay attention…

      However, I found a dock, but the compatible surfaces are newer, but I don't see why it wouldn't work...
