Error message when reopening exercise in SAGE COMPTA 50

Hello,

Like every year during the closing of the accounting period, everything goes well until the window for reopening the new period opens.

I validate, and at the moment of validation, I receive two error messages (see below)

        Reopening of the period
X·Error in the reopening registration
········Verification of the entry.
X·The entry must be balanced.

I’ve looked everywhere, tried again from scratch, but nothing works; I always face this same error every year.

Last year a friend managed to fix it, but I don’t know how he did it.

Who can help me.

I don’t want to pay €20 a month just for one problem a year.

That is why it refuses to create the new fiscal year. You must first identify the entry that is causing the issue. To do this, you need to review all the entries of the year you wish to close, particularly those at the end of the year. It's possible that you have validated an entry that is not balanced. Hello,

I have never encountered this issue.

However, if it occurs every year, one might wonder if the account for recording the result (through which accounts 6 and 7 are settled at closing) has been deleted.

You should check that, in the menu File / Settings / Accounting, under the Roots/Default tab, you have 120000 for profits and 129000 for losses set in the default accounts.
