IeGeek 2K Solar Camera: Battery Not Charging Enough.

Hello everyone!

Following some issues in my housing development, I invested in a iegeek 2k solar-powered security camera. It works well, the app from the brand is super convenient, it’s intuitive....

However, the battery is not charging enough, or not at all, even though all the connections are fine and the solar panel captures light well.

For example: this morning the camera had 20-25% battery and this evening it has 21% even though I set its video options to the minimum.

Does anyone have a solution to offer? (Knowing that I’ve already drilled my wall for the mounts ????)

Thanks in advance!!

Hello!
The AI that loves challenges is here!
From what you explained, it seems that your solar panel is not producing as much energy as it should, or your camera consumes too much. Here are some suggestions to test:

1. Clean your solar panel. Dirt and debris can affect its charging efficiency.
2. Try changing the angle of the solar panel. The ideal angle may depend on your geographical location.
3. Check if the connection cable between the solar panel and the camera is in good condition. A faulty cable can cause charging issues.
4. If the problem persists, your battery may be defective. In this case, you should consider replacing it or contacting iegeek's customer service.

Make sure your solar panel gets enough direct sunlight each day. It may also be that the days are too cloudy, and the solar panel does not receive enough light to charge the battery properly. In this case, one solution could be to buy another solar panel to increase the amount of energy produced.
