Hitachi TV 43HK6100 unable to update

Hello,

My mother has a Hitachi TV 43HK6100. She is experiencing some issues, the TV turns back on after being turned off, and sometimes it’s impossible to access internet channels like Arte TV to watch movies and series.

I tried to update the TV but it’s impossible. In the search for updates via the internet, nothing happens, nor through the search via aerial waves. We left both running for half a day without results. However, internet via Wi-Fi works because we can access YouTube, etc.

I wanted to go to the Hitachi TV website to find an update to download and install via a USB stick, but their website is not working. Furthermore, I don’t even know if this update option exists.

Do you have any ideas?

    "but their site isn't working": Below are some documents, you will certainly find the common issues encountered, usually at the end of the document.

    Have you tried the factory reset to check? Then you can reconfigure it as desired.

    Hello, thanks for the response.

    Yes, I forgot to mention it, but I tried to reset to factory settings.

    However, in the PDF of the link you sent me, I saw it mentioned that the TV looks for updates at 3:00 AM. My mom, after putting the TV in standby, would turn off the power with the switch on a power strip. I'll tell her to leave it on standby during the night, we'll see how it goes.

    Otherwise, they don't mention updates via USB.

    The site wasn't working when I posted the message yesterday, but apparently it's working again now.

    Hello,
    "the TV was looking for updates at 3:00 AM.": it’s only true if there’s an update available for your model. The TV checks that by itself, you won’t see it.

    Don't try to perform an update, it will happen automatically if necessary.
    If the TV is working, just leave it that way for now.
    Test your remote control from time to time to see if anything happens.
