Separate work and personal numbers
Sau -
Hello,
I'm in a situation where I don't know the best solution:
I have only one phone (and one line) that I use for both professional and personal purposes. I would like to separate them, make this number only for work, and get a new number for personal use. Obviously, there are dual phones or dual SIM options, but being a bit forgetful, I might end up forgetting the first one and sending messages to clients from my new line in that case ????
I’ve seen there are software options for creating numbers, but I'm not sure it would be useful in my case ????
If anyone has a little advice or workaround, I’m all ears! ????
Thank you!!!

Hello,
I have a phone with two SIM cards. During a phone call, you have to choose between line 1 or 2. For SMS, it’s a bit trickier; you have to remember to switch the line before writing the SMS.
I’ve read that there are phone models, or maybe versions of Android, where you can associate a contact with a SIM card. There’s also a paid app to do this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.steffen_b.multisimselector&hl=fr&gl=US
For a different use, I also use the OnOff app, which provides virtual phone numbers. Communications use the phone's main subscription. For example, to get insurance quotes, I got a temporary number for a month, so I wouldn’t be bothered later by follow-ups. I imagine you could, instead of a dual SIM phone, use this app or another equivalent. Regarding OnOff, the business model has changed; previously, a virtual number cost €3 per month, now it's €5 but includes talk time and a number of SMS.
Alright, thanks for taking the time to respond!
Do you think I could get this OnOff system for 2 numbers, keep my current number by forwarding calls and messages to one, and use the second for my personal life?
The goal is to be able to "disconnect" at the end of the day, on weekends, and during vacations.
