Hello,
my little sister is having a problem with her computer. Upon launch, it attempts an automatic repair and ends up saying:
"Automatic repair couldn't repair your PC
Log file: E:\WINDOWS\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt"
I looked it up online and saw that this is a recurring issue for many people, but none of the solutions I followed helped me.
For example, I followed this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUhcsPh0aDQ
I tried resetting the PC, nothing works.
Does anyone have a solution?
Thank you in advance.

Hello,
From another PC, use the MediaCreationTool to download an ISO file of Windows 10, or for Windows 11, if compatible, you can download it directly to create a USB drive of 8GB or more to reinstall Windows.
To check if a PC is compatible with Windows 11, you can use WhyNotWin11 (when you have a working Windows).

Windows 10

Windows 11

Once you have the Windows ISO file, you can create your USB drive with Rufus.

If the PC is old, you need to create the drive in MBR mode.
If it is recent (Windows 8 or higher), use GPT mode > For Windows 11 GPT for EFI.
Boot from it using the Boot Menu key on the PC.

If you don't see it, you can search on Google "[Brand Model] Boot Menu Key".
Choose "Custom Install" (Not upgrade).
No need to format if there is space; if there are data, they will be found in a Windows.old folder.
You will need to recover them from the Windows.old folder as soon as possible, which will be automatically deleted after 10 days.
So install on the same partition,
If there isn't enough space, let me know, and we'll have to do it differently.
Alternatively, you can delete all system partitions and create a new one (This will delete the data).
Hello.

Um . . . no! Not really. Fortunately! Regarding the Windows.Old folder you will find in C:, only personal files will be recoverable. No applications installed by yourself will be. You will need to reinstall them one by one.
As for the actual failure, either the hard drive has problems, or your version of Windows 10 was too old, resulting in a failure to repair/reset.
See you . . .
