Hello,

There is obviously no way except remote control or if a program is run on this PC that communicates the hardware configuration, such as Microsoft support sites, from the PC manufacturer...

I need to take an online test and I want to get help from a friend with a second screen, but the training center informs me that it will detect my setup before starting the test to check if a second screen is detected. So, what can I do?

I gave the answer: in this particular case, the program detects the hardware configuration precisely to prevent you from cheating and will obviously not start if you prohibit it from doing so; this is the case for all remote exams, otherwise they would be pointless and not credible.

But there are 2 methods for a dual screen: through the HDMI port or PCI, but also by casting. If I cast, is it detectable too?

Hi

The PC features can be blocked during the exam and many different systems exist and are constantly evolving, online education having greatly developed during COVID. It would be surprising if they hadn't thought about casting, all 4K TVs use it.

It is difficult to provide further details about the system on the day of the exam.
