Facebook message not sent

Good evening,

I am posting a message to a new person and it's clearly indicated "a like has been sent," but the same person reappears. How can I know if the message has been successfully sent or will be delivered?

    I’m currently asking myself the same question. When you like, the profile disappears, but apparently not when you leave a message. So, I also doubt that it was sent properly. If I try again, and the person actually received it the first time, I might come off as someone pushy and annoying.

    If I reply with "I like" along with a comment every time she reappears in the new suggestions, will she receive all the messages? Thank you

    The FAQ just says this:

    The conversation begins when the other person replies to your message or sends you a Like. You receive a notification in your Facebook app when someone sends you a Like or messages you on Dating. You can only continue the conversation with a match suggestion if that person replies to you or sends you a Like in return.

    From what I understand, if the person reappears without any other action, it means they ignored your message/like (or deleted it).

    I have the same problem, as soon as I comment on a photo, I hit send and when I reconnect, the profile of the person I commented on reappears as a suggestion.

    Does anyone know the solution?
