Hello,

Since 1 hour on Windows 11, each of my icons on the screen is adorned with a small box, any idea what it is?

Thank you in advance for your answers

    Hello,

This brown box is probably related to OneDrive.

The advice is to restart Windows Explorer. You can restart the computer, which will have the same effect.

I think this symbol will disappear sooner or later, just like it appeared.

Personally, I had a green checkmark that disappeared (also related to OneDrive).

Thank you for the responses, I found the source of the problem, a software called "Safer Web" had installed itself on the machine, by removing it there are no more issues with the icons.

Thanks to everyone and have a good evening.

It's good that you deleted it, but I don't think it has anything to do with it. For me, it's related to OneDrive.

Since you probably had to restart the computer, the icons returned to their normal appearance.

      It's just a coincidence.

Maybe, in any case they are no longer here, that's the main thing!
