Hello,
Just a quick question .......
When I boot the PC from an AOEMI Backupper boot CD, I don't have the mouse ????
Have you ever had this problem? What is it due to?
Thank you

Hello,
What is this mouse..?
It must be understood that the OS used by AOEMI is not from Microsoft, it only uses what is not related to a license... So no "exotic" hardware. In this case, it's better to use a simple wired mouse...
Especially since it needs to adapt to all kinds of PCs and motherboards.
""What is it due to ..??"" Mystery, especially since we don't know the hardware in question.
Thank you, Jeannets.
Previously, I had an old version of AOEMI Backupper that always worked well. The last time I wanted to use it to restore the system partition, I encountered error 4104 when restarting to reinstall the system.
I tried to start AOMI from the CD, but there was no mouse?! It's a wired mouse, and everything worked perfectly before............
So, I installed the new version of AOEMI. And now, I can't create a bootable CD. It tells me that the CD is not writable. I tried with a blank CD, and the application errors out. I also tried with a formatted CD-RW, but it remains unwritable.
Instead of the CD, I was able to create a bootable USB drive.
Aside from AOEMI, what other partition backup software is there? Knowing that Macrium Reflect asks for too much personal information. Thank you.
OK, your non-writable CD... it's hard to understand...? But not related to AOEMI...
I'll answer your question from the last line... I proceed a bit differently. I use "Acronis True Image," an older version but it still works well (between 2017 and 2021) not installed on the PC... But on a CD.
The PC boots from this CD and the operation never varies since the entire OS is on the CD.. It backs up both Linux and Windows... And as a precaution, I make sure that the backup works by restoring it (caution)
Here is the link to download the ISO file, from the Acronis archives, straightforwardly.
https://archive.org/download/acronis-true-image-2020_202105/Acronis%20True%20Image%202020.iso
This ISO file is to be burned onto a CD with an ISO burner like "CDburnerXP" or onto an empty USB stick with Rufus and it works... I back up my Windows OS in 8 minutes from an M.2 SSD
There is my other solution; and it doesn't ask questions.
On the link I provided, no, and there is only the ISO file... in archive... I can't explain to you why or how... But it works; and Acronis doesn't seem to oppose it.
This is what is paid https://www.acronis.com/fr-fr/products/cyber-protect/backup/ it's a broader package and it has Acronis support... In short, it's the licensed version.
