Hello,
You have "connected the master handset to the box" What do you mean by the master handset???
The Trio A635 includes a base, three identical handsets, and 2 chargers.
What type of connection did you make? With a cable between the base and the box or wirelessly directly from the handset to the box using DECT (radio)?
Does your A635 have a built-in answering machine or not...?
It’s very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it’s not there...
Hello,
The base of the main A635 trio handset does not have a built-in answering machine. It is the only one with a Registration/paging button that allows it to connect to the Orange box. You also need to press the WPS button on the Orange box to establish the connection according to the instructions in the documentation. I have therefore managed to connect the base to the box via a cable.
However, there is nothing in the documentation regarding how to pair the two other handsets, each placed on a charger. My two other handsets are currently not connected (no signal!).
OK... no answering machine...
You therefore have two possible choices
- Connect the base with a telephone cable to the TEL port of the Livebox, and the three handsets will work normally without any special action.
- Pair the three handsets directly to the Livebox using the WPS button on the Livebox (pairing must be done for each handset).
Apparently, you have made a merry mix of all this....
If you used the WPS button on the Livebox, you paired the handset directly to the Livebox.
The "Paging" button on the base is only used to pair/re-pair the handsets to the base (when delivered, the handsets are already paired with their base).
Pairing the 3 handsets to the Livebox offers the advantage of having no cable between the Livebox and the telephone base. But the base becomes a simple charger, and it is the Livebox that becomes the new base for the three handsets. The functionalities of the original base are lost...
What model of Livebox do you have?
OK... for the Livebox4
But what do you want to have?
- The handsets that are directly connected to the box (no telephone cable between the base and the box, and features specific to the original base lost)
- The base connected to the box by cable and the handsets that work with their original base.
In the first case, you need to perform the following procedure on each of the handsets
On the Livebox4 press WPS

Otherwise, you need to:
- Unpair the handset that you paired earlier ===> See https://assistance.orange.fr/telephone/telephone-par-internet/toutes-les-livebox/installer-et-utiliser/associer-le-telephone-a-la-livebox/telephone-hd-supprimer-l-association-a-la-livebox-4_219543-762315
- Connect the telephone cable between the base and Livebox
- Re-pair the handset with its base see
Good evening. I logged into the box using 192.168.1.1 and accessed the "available phone" menu, which allows for associations in the "associated phone(s)" submenu. I deleted phones 2, 3, and 4 and successfully reassociated the two remote phones by clicking on "associate a new DECT phone."
Strangely, I lost the connection with the phone on the base. I then reconnected it using your procedure.
Everything is working now. Thank you for your very valuable help.
