Hello,

I'm on Excel and I'm working on creating a table to print price display labels, but I'm looking for a formula to calculate the price per weight, per liter, based on the selling price.

For example, selling price 1.75€ (merged cells C3 and C4), quantity 1.5 liters (Cell D2), price per liter (D7)

Thank you for your help.

.

Hello.

Another oddity:
why bother merging cells when you can simply increase the height of rows 5 and 3?

Hello

what you're looking for .. is the "division"

it's not a question ... it's an answer.

1.75/1.5 = price per liter!

Oh well, thank you, it was actually quite simple.

But which cell should I indicate since my sales price is located in two merged cells? (C3 and C4)

Thanks in advance.

If you "click" on the cell to use in the formula, it will choose for you (cell C3)

Thank you very much.

Does it also work if I have a 950g jar or a drink in a 33cl container?

Well, it depends on the units...

If you have a container in grams... the division will give you the price per gram...

To get it per kilogram... you will need to multiply it.

The same goes for centiliters... you need to multiply to convert to liters.

Unless I indicate 0.33 for liters and 0.250 for grams!

Well, of course...

If you change the unit to liters or kilograms, multiplication won't be necessary anymore since you'll already be in the right unit...
